Construction on one of the largest condo developments in Dallas may finally begin as early as next week. The Museum Tower development will be 42 stories tall and provide shelter to over 100 lucky homeowners.
The Museum Tower Dallas was originally unveiled 3 years ago, but the economy and tighter financing conditions have delayed the project. The Arts District has since grown up around it, providing the Museum Tower with friendly neighbors once it’s finally ready to go. The Museum Tower was designed by California architect Johnson Fain and the structure will have three layers of overlapping glass, providing it with a scale-like look. Condos in the Museum Tower will start at around $1 million once they are offered for sale.
Some uncertainly about high-end, new condo developments in Dallas still exists. The House, a widely anticipated development in Victory Park, has sold less than 10% of its units. The Residences at the Dallas Ritz-Carlton also have around 2/3 of the units still available for sale directly from the developer. Will the Museum Tower have better luck once the economy picks back up?
